The L298N is a high voltage, high current dual full-bridge driver designed to control inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, DC and stepping motors. This versatile motor driver can handle a wide range of input voltages (up to 46V) and deliver continuous output currents of up to 2A per channel. With integrated diodes for protection against back EMF and a built-in regulator for internal logic supply, the L298N is an efficient and reliable solution for driving a variety of motor types. The driver features two H-bridges, which allows bi-directional control of two DC motors, or control of a single bipolar stepper motor. The logic inputs are compatible with standard TTL and CMOS levels, making it easy to interface with microcontrollers and other digital control systems. Additionally, the L298N includes thermal shutdown and overload protection, ensuring safe operation in various applications such as robotics, automotive, and industrial automation.
