The SN74LS47N is a BCD to 7-segment latch/decoder/driver designed for driving common-cathode displays. It accepts four lines of BCD input data and generates output signals for a 7-segment display. The device features a latch enable (LE) input and an active-low ripple-blanking input to blank leading and trailing zeroes or to increase the blanking blanking interval. It also features a lamp test input, which, when activated, turns all the segments on. The SN74LS47N has a maximum feature of 50mA per segment and operates at a wide range of voltages from 4.75V to 15V. Additionally, it has a low power consumption making it suitable for a wide range of applications. This IC is commonly used in consumer electronics, industrial control, instrumentation, and automotive electronics. With its compact size, low power consumption and wide range of operating voltages, the SN74LS47N is a versatile and reliable solution for driving 7-segment displays in a variety of applications.
