The TPS61027DRCR is a highly efficient, synchronous boost converter with an integrated 1.5-A, 24-V power switch. It is designed for applications requiring a regulated output voltage from a single-cell Li-ion battery or 3-cell NiMH/NiCd batteries. The device can also be used for a fixed (3.3 V or 5 V), high-voltage boost or charge pump applications. This boost converter operates at a fixed frequency of 1.6 MHz, allowing the use of tiny, low-profile inductors and capacitors. The TPS61027DRCR features an integrated N-channel MOSFET and a P-channel MOSFET, reducing the overall component count and PCB space. With a high switching frequency, this device helps minimize the external component sizes and PCB footprint. The TPS61027DRCR operates over a wide input voltage range from 2.7 V to 12 V and can deliver output voltages up to 24 V. The device also offers several built-in protection features, including thermal shutdown, overcurrent protection, and undervoltage lockout, making it an ideal choice for various battery-powered applications.
